Planning a hospitality website for Dubai and the UAE

A hospitality website should make your experience understandable and the next step easy. For independent operators in Dubai and the UAE, the brief needs to connect guest expectations, languages and your real reservation workflow. Use this checklist before commissioning a new site or redesign.

Step 01

1. Choose the guest journey before the visual direction

Define whether the priority is a room booking, a table reservation, a private event enquiry or a direct conversation. These are different journeys. A visitor choosing a restaurant needs a readable menu and location; someone planning a hotel stay needs room differences and reservation conditions. Give each a clear path without asking every visitor to make the same decision.

  • Name your main audience and the reason for their visit.
  • Choose the primary action for each important page.
  • List the information guests need before taking that action.

Step 02

2. Make mobile decisions practical

Review the experience on a phone, where a visitor may be checking your location, opening hours or menu between other tasks. Use readable text rather than relying only on photographed menus. Keep the route to booking visible and make contact details easy to use. Show photography that accurately represents the experience you sell.

  • A readable menu or room description on a narrow screen.
  • Clear location, directions and current opening or check-in information.
  • A working booking link, phone number and contact route.
  • Images that explain the place without obscuring practical details.

Step 03

3. Decide what English and Arabic each need to cover

Choose languages based on your guests and operating team. If Arabic is required, define the content and review process before design. Right-to-left layouts need attention to navigation, typography, forms and mixed-language details such as phone numbers. Confirm that your reservation provider supports the intended languages too. Translation alone does not complete that journey.

  • Who supplies and approves English and Arabic copy?
  • Which pages and booking screens are available in each language?
  • Who checks right-to-left layout and mixed-script details?
  • Who maintains both versions when menus, services or conditions change?

Step 04

4. Confirm the booking integration and its boundaries

Give the studio your booking provider’s name and integration documentation. A link to a hosted booking page, an embedded widget and a custom integration differ in cost and responsibility. Agree how the experience behaves when the booking tool fails. For WhatsApp enquiries, make it clear that the guest is opening a conversation rather than receiving a confirmed reservation.

  • Identify provider fees and any integration restrictions.
  • Test dates, language and mobile behaviour across the handoff.
  • Agree who owns rates, availability and reservation confirmations.
  • Distinguish booking clicks from bookings recorded by the provider.

Step 05

5. Define remote delivery and the complete cost

With a Casablanca-based studio, agree shared working hours rather than assuming a fixed time difference throughout the year. Decide who approves brand direction and who gathers feedback from the property team. Ask for a proposal that separates the initial build from hosting, subscriptions, content and ongoing changes.

  • Written deliverables, review stages and included revisions.
  • Invoicing currency and payment stages.
  • Photography, copy and native-language review responsibilities.
  • Domain and tool ownership, administrator access and handover.
  • Support scope and the process for later updates.

Step 06

6. Launch with accurate information and useful measurement

Publish clear information about the actual establishment and the services guests can book. Check important pages, language routes and reservation links before launch. If replacing an existing site, map useful old URLs to their new destinations. Measure enquiries and confirmed bookings alongside visits, and respect the visitor’s analytics preferences. A contact click is evidence of intent, not proof of revenue.

  • Test a room, table and event journey wherever relevant.
  • Check each language and the reservation-provider handoff.
  • Track source pages without including personal details in analytics.
  • Review enquiry quality and booked business with your operating team.
